Protection of virgin rainforest and sustainable forest management among the Urarina indigenous people of the Chambira River in Perú

Main actions
- Conduct participatory forest diagnoses and inventories to understand forest resources and guide their planning, conservation, and sustainable use.
- Strengthening community organization and decision-making for land management, including community agreements and forest monitoring actions.
- Implementation of agroforestry systems as a productive alternative compatible with forest conservation and sustainable land use.
- Strengthening the capacities of community authorities, forestry promoters and CRFA students in forest management, regulations and technical-productive management.
- Promotion of spaces for articulation and coordination with institutions linked to forest management, complemented with monitoring and technical support to the communities.
